We worked with Crisis to create a monthly art subscription service that highlights the life-changing potential of art.

Art has the power to change lives 

Art from Crisis brings subscribers inspiring art through the post, every month. But this is art with a difference, because every piece has been created by a Crisis Member – someone experiencing homelessness.

Along with art, subscribers get the stories behind it – stories of how art has helped people regain their confidence, given them space to think and feel, and enabled them to tell their story. Whether through painting, photography, poetry and stories, music or even millinery and shoemaking – all of which are classes offered by Crisis at their Skylight Centres.

Reaching new audiences

Homelessness isn’t hopelessness. ‘Art from Crisis’ reframes the issue away from tired and misleading stereotypes, and gives supporters a window into the charity’s huge range of services. Along the way, it’s helping Crisis reach new audiences and extend their proposition past the traditional Christmas giving season.
