Putting the public service crisis in the public eye
This week, GOOD launched a new Back Your Champions campaign for UNISON. With, as it turned out, perfect timing.
Across the country, more and more public service workers are at – and beyond – breaking point. Anonymous whistleblowers are writing to The Guardian, junior doctors are confessing all on Channel 4, and UNISON members from the front line to the back office are telling us just how things continue to deteriorate.
They are the trusted voice of authority, so we’ve put them at the heart of this new campaign – across billboards, press and social media – telling their side of the story, alongside members of the public who rely on the services they give.
The campaign encourages people to do something – anything – to back their public service champions, from tweeting to registering to vote. And with the snap election called on Tuesday, that rallying cry is even more important.
What will you do to back your champions?
