British Heart Foundation: Love Locks
The British Heart Foundation carries out an annual fundraising appeal around valentine’s day. We wanted to make it something that would get the nation’s attention as well as raise funds.
So we created this giant metal sculpture that stood in Covent Garden. For a donation, visitors could inscribe a message of love on a padlock and attach it to the sculpture, as happens on iconic bridges and gates around the world.
Love Locks was so popular, over 10,000 people bought a padlock, it featured in Time Out, and Covent Garden extended the booking from a fortnight to a month because it was such a draw.
